Marketing Design: Artistic Event Posters for Dance Festival

With this graphic design project by Tubik Arts, we’d like to invite you to the world of those amazing dance moments. Welcome to check the design case study in which we created a set of original illustration posters for various events of a dance festival organized by a dance school chain.

The task for the creative team was to design an extended set of advertising posters for indoor and outdoor usage to support a promotional campaign for the chain of dance schools organizing different events for dances in different cities within one big dance festival. The posters had to present recognizable artistic visualizations of various dance styles and directions and capture the atmosphere and mood of each style. The list of styles included the following:

• lindy hop
• hip hop
• bachata
• tango
• ballroom dance
• contemporary dance
• Irish dance
• cheerleading
• vogue

In the process of creative search, the general stylistic approach was defined. The design of posters and billboards was based on prominent, captivating, cheerful, and bright illustrations featuring the particular dance event style and energy. The elegant typographic solution for the posters paired decorative and original PangramPangram Casa for dance style names used a headline and stylish readable PangramPangram Formula for informative parts.

Also, the illustrations were made flexible for effective usage in different compositions and horizontal or vertical poster setups. Sharing different energy and moods, all the posters keep an integral, consistent design style and are easily recognized as a part of one campaign, which helps the dance school behind it strengthen its brand awareness and unite a variety of styles and locations into one big festival event.
